| From the Principal |

Dear Parents,
We once again urge and encourage our parents to discuss with their children the importance of proper hygiene. Washing hands throughout the day, not sharing spoons, drinks,
etc., and covering mouth and turning head when coughing and or sneezing are just a few of the important habits which we all need to use. Once a virus begins to spread from
child to child it becomes very difficult to stop. This is why we also ask that no student attend school within 24 hours of having a fever.
We have had a number of students who have had severe cases of the flu, colds, and pneumonia recently. This has been especially true in preschool. So, please
take necessary precautions with your children and be sure that they get plenty of sleep!
If you have not yet filled out the latest zoomerang parent survey, you have until Saturday, February 11, to complete it. For those who have
had trouble receiving the zoomerang survey, it may be caught up in your SPAM blocker. Also, if you add it to you address list, it will not be blocked.

We've been told that many of the Toys 'R Us stores are closing and the stores are having closeout sales. Don't forget to pick up Scrip as you head out for those savings.
- From the Minister to Youth and Children:
Summer Camp Information:
It's never too early to start planning for summer camp and to get the special "early bird" rates. Mt. Cross, located in the Santa Cruz mountains
is a great place for camp. Check out all their programs for 2nd graders all the way through High School age youth. They even have a great "Family Camp," too.
It's all available on their web site at www.mtcross.org or, for a brochure, stop by Steve's office.
The Souper Bowl of Caring:
Thanks to all of you that gave to the Souper Bowl of Caring after the chapel service last Wednesday. We collected a total of $464.14 from the chapel service
and after Church on Sunday. The Napa County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has matched 50 cents for every dollar. So, all totaled, we will be
giving $696.21 to the Napa Food Bank! As of Wednesday, $2,615,739.11 has been collected and given to help feed the poor, nationwide! Thanks for caring!
4th, 5th and 6th Grade Ministry (TGIS):
We meet this Sunday, February 12th, from 1-3 pm in the gym. We had planned to go ice skating, but our schedules did not work well together, so we'll
be meeting in the gym to play some fun games. Make sure you wear your tennis shoes and bring your friends. Hope to see you on Sunday afternoon!
7th and 8th Grade Ministry:
If you are involved in Confirmation, don't forget to get your retreat permission form and parental consent form signed and turned in to Pastor Mike. The retreat happens Friday, February 24-26, 2006.
8th Graders:
Don't forget to talk to your parents about the High School Houseboat trip that is coming up this summer. Spaces are going fast, so if you are thinking about attending, make sure
to talk to your parents today! Any questions, contact Steve at 255-7451.
