On Eagles' Wings
November 12, 2004
Vol. 2, #12
From the Principal

Dear Parents,

This past week, you should have received a Parent Teacher Conference form to fill out, indicating your preference for meeting with your child's teacher. If you have not turned one back in, please do so by Monday. Once we receive those, we coordinate them so that we accommodate families with more than one student as much as possible. Our Parent Teacher Conferences are a very important opportunity for parents and teachers to meet and discuss your child's progress. Please be sure to take the time to attend a conference with your child's teacher!

You should have also received a parent survey this week. This is an important survey we are using as part of our accreditation focus this year. Please take the time to fill it out and return it in a sealed envelope to your child's teacher or the school office. Please write the grade of your oldest child at St. John's. These will only be opened by a couple of our accreditation leadership team members.

We are looking for a volunteer who would be willing to take charge of a Chess Club here at St. John's. It would be a group of 5th–8th graders who would meet weekly after school to play and learn more about chess. If you would be interested in helping out in this way, please contact the school office for more information. Along with our Science Adventure Club, we are also starting a Scholastic Team shortly. We would love to add a Chess Club as well!

In Christ,
Joel D. Wahlers
Principal
