Dear Parents,
I want to remind all of our families that the school does have a website at www.stjohnsnapa.org. The website has
important information about the school and is a good resource for checking our calendar or parent handbook. Also,
there is a picture section that has pictures of various school events. This week, you can go to the website and see
pictures from the APT "Get On Track" event from last Friday.
In the past we have had a few school parents and congregational members participate in corporate matching programs,
whereby some companies will match donations made by employees to our school. I encourage you to investigate
whether your employer has this kind of program. It might be a way to make any donations to our school that much
more valuable. We also have a number of "wish list" items for which we would welcome donations.

| Hurricane Relief Grant Challenge Continues |
| Please read the following information: Our first trimester chapel money will be
devoted to helping the victims in Florida affected by the recent hurricanes. |
|
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
is issuing a challenge:
Raise $2 million to assist those who survived the recent Hurricane Charley, and
they will add $1 million in additional support. Charley struck Florida on August 13, killing 20 and causing upwards
of $14 billion in damage. Millions of homes and churches were damaged or destroyed, lengthy power outages caused
food to spoil and become unusable, and many find themselves unemployed after their workplaces closed down following
the hurricane. The need is great!
Chapel offerings to date have raised $1,012.90. Contributions through chapel offerings will continue
thru November 10th. Thank you for your continued support!
